Look at me ma, I'm Gravataring!
So, you might have noticed that the icons of all the Top Ranking Users on the right side of the page are all CRAZY-looking!
I got tired of the plain little faceless avatar guy that was there previously, and figured that many of you might have personal gravatars that you want to use -- so I included support for Gravatars in the system starting today!
What are Gravatars?
A Globally Recognized Avatar
From the Gravatar Homepage:
Your Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums, so why not on any site?
Already have a Gravatar?
If you already have a Gravatar, and the email address that you registered Ippatsu! with is the same as the email you used with your Gravatar account, then your Gravatar should show up automatically!
If your Gravatar is not showing up, you can check your email address on your User Settings page, and make sure that you've also registered that email address with Gravatar.
Don't have a Gravatar?
Why not sign up for one? It's easy, free, and they don't spam you. Lots of sites on the internet are Gravatar-enabled, so you can have your user icon follow you wherever you go on the net!
Note: We're not affiliated with Gravatar in any way. We just think it's a really cool idea. And we really like cool ideas here at Ippatsu!
What if I don't want to use a Gravatar?
You're perfectly welcome to not use a Gravatar if you want, and upload your own custom icon to the site. You can change your user icon by going to your User Settings page, and then selecting the Avatar tab.
